Your Questions, Answered

We’ve gathered a few common questions to help you understand what staying at Selah is like.

If something isn’t answered here, you’re always welcome to reach out.

  • Selah is an intentionally small retreat designed for rest, presence, and connection to the land.

We offer comfort-forward, biologically optimal accommodations designed for nervous system reset.

You’re welcome to enjoy the Community Center amenities during your stay with optional add-ons like massage therapy or our curated events.

  • Selah is best described as a retreat.

While it offers the comforts and care of hospitality, the experience is intentionally quieter and more personal than a typical resort. The emphasis is on space, privacy, and simplicity — not on schedules or crowds.

  • Selah appeals most to guests who value calm, privacy, and intentional design. Many come to rest, reflect, read, explore nature gently, or simply be without expectation.

It’s well suited for solo travelers, couples, and friends seeking a restorative stay.

To honor the sensory sensitive - large groups, celebrations, or highly social occasions are encouraged to reserve the resort for exclusive use. Reach out for more information and quote.

  • The number of accommodations at Selah is intentionally limited to 2 people per dome. We do have cots available for additional guests, for a maximum of 4 people per booking, at an additional cost.

This allows for a sense of spaciousness, privacy, and quiet throughout the property. You’ll never feel crowded, and shared areas are designed to remain calm and unhurried.

  • Days at Selah are intentionally unstructured.

Some guests rise early and spend time outdoors. Others linger over coffee, read, or rest. There are no required activities and no expectation to participate in anything beyond what feels right for you.

The experience is shaped by your own pace.

  • Yes. WiFi is available throughout the resort. You might enjoy the Community Center that has remote working stations. Note that this is shared space, so we ask that conference calls or meetings to be held in your private space.

  • We offer snacks and beverages in our camp store and on occasion we host food trucks.

Local recommendations can be found in the stay guide.

  • Selah is designed as an adult‑only retreat.

Our accommodations, amenities, and shared spaces are intentionally created for rest, quiet, and restoration, and are not suitable for children. Selah does not offer child‑specific programming, play areas, or safety‑adapted amenities.

We’ve made this choice to preserve a calm, uninterrupted environment for all guests.

Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee to help offset the costs of cleaning - see our Pet Policy.

  • Guests are encouraged to pack with simplicity in mind.

Comfortable clothing, layers for changing weather, sturdy footwear for outdoor time, and anything that supports rest — a book, journal, or personal essentials — are usually all that’s needed.

We provide all linens, personal care products, and sensory tools (on request).
