Prepare for Your Stay

A self check-in kiosk on a wooden counter with candles, towels, and a vase with dried flowers; a framed sign reading 'Welcome to Selah' hangs on the textured wall.

Selah is designed as a quiet retreat — a place where time softens and attention widens.

From the moment you arrive, you’re invited to slow down. There’s no formal agenda and no expectation to “do” anything beyond what feels natural to you.

If you notice yourself exhale when you arrive, you’re doing it right.

Preparing for Your Time at Selah

Selah is designed to feel simple, spacious, and unhurried.

A few thoughtful choices can help you settle in more comfortably.

Pre-Arrival Guide

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Selah.
This guide offers a few notes to help you arrive with ease and step into the pace of your stay.
  • What should I expect when I check in?

Check‑in at Selah is intentionally simple.

You’ll be guided into your space and given what you need to orient yourself — no lengthy processes, no counter to stand at. We aim for your arrival to feel like entering a place already prepared for you.

Specific check‑in timing will be confirmed in advance.

  • What is check‑out like?

    Departure is intentionally unhurried.

Specific timing and any simple departure instructions will be shared prior to your stay.

There’s no rush to leave the experience behind all at once. After check-out time, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the shared spaces for the rest of the day.

  • What is the expectation around quiet?

Selah is designed to remain calm and restorative for all guests.

We ask that voices, music, and phone calls remain low and considered, especially in shared spaces. Silence is never enforced — it’s simply respected.

Private conversations and calls are best taken within personal accommodations.

  • Is there Wi‑Fi and cell service?

    Wi‑Fi is available throughout Selah.

That said, many guests choose to disconnect during their stay. You’re welcome to use connectivity as much or as little as feels right to you.

Selah is not intended as a work‑focused destination, and the environment reflects that intention.

  • Details regarding food offerings, nearby dining, and any on‑site amenities are shared prior to arrival.

In keeping with Selah’s philosophy, these offerings are designed to be simple, nourishing, and unhurried.

  • What should I know about the environment?

Selah is closely connected to its natural setting.

Weather can change, mornings and evenings may be cooler, and outdoor paths may be uneven in places. Being prepared allows you to relax into the experience rather than manage it.

Is Selah an outdoor retreat, and are there risks involved?

Yes. Selah is a nature‑embedded, outdoor hospitality retreat.

While we take great care in our design, maintenance, and guest experience, the retreat environment includes natural terrain, outdoor pathways, open air spaces, water features, and wellness elements that come with inherent risks.

By choosing to stay at Selah, guests acknowledge that outdoor environments are not entirely risk‑free and agree to move through the space thoughtfully, at their own pace, and within their personal comfort levels.

Selah is designed for adults who are comfortable engaging with nature in an intentional and responsible way.

  • If you need anything during your stay — guidance, assistance, or clarification — you’re welcome to reach out.

The Selah team can be contacted by phone or text using the number provided in your arrival message. We aim to be responsive while preserving the quiet of the retreat.

A Gentle Note

Selah may feel quieter and slower than what you’re used to.

That’s intentional.

If at any point you’re unsure what to do next — you’re probably doing it right.

Pause. Rest. Breathe.
