Founders Circle FAQ
-
The Founders Membership is an opportunity to help bring Selah into the world while securing privileged access once it opens.
Founders don’t receive equity.
They receive something more personal: belonging, access, and lasting connection to the place itself.
“Is this an investment?” → No
“When do benefits start?” → At opening
“What if you don’t open?” → Refund
-
The Selah Founders Membership is a prepaid hospitality membership created to help fund the development of Selah while offering Founders guaranteed future access, preferred pricing, and recognition.
It is not an investment, not equity, and does not provide any ownership or profit participation. Instead, Founders pre‑purchase future stays and benefits at Selah under clearly defined terms.
-
Selah is being built intentionally and responsibly.
Rather than relying solely on debt or outside investors, we chose to invite a small group of future guests to participate early through advance prepaid memberships. This approach:
reduces overall leverage
strengthens long‑term financial stability
aligns Selah with its future community
keeps decision‑making focused on quality rather than scale
Founders help make Selah possible — and in return, receive meaningful, lasting benefits.
-
No.
The Founders Membership is advance prepaid revenue for future hospitality services, not crowdfunding, not equity fundraising, and not a solicitation for investment.
There is no expectation of financial return, interest, or profit sharing.
-
Founder contributions are handled with strict safeguards:
Funds are deposited into a separate, segregated account
Funds are not used unless Selah secures construction financing
If financing is not secured by a defined date, 100% of contributions are refunded
This structure is intentionally designed to reduce risk for both Founders and the business.
-
If Selah does not secure the required land and financing under the defined timeline:
All Founder contributions will be returned in full
No benefits will accrue or be partially redeemed
The process closes transparently and cleanly
There is no scenario in which funds are partially retained without the project moving forward.
-
No.
The Founders Membership does not include:
equity
ownership interest
voting rights
profit participation
or repayment of funds
Founders participate as early supporters and preferred guests, not investors.
-
An estimated opening timeline will be shared as planning progresses, but dates are non‑binding and dependent on:
land acquisition
permitting
construction schedules
and financing milestones
Founders receive regular updates through a private newsletter during the build process.
-
Selah is currently evaluating target regions that meet our criteria for land, environment, accessibility, and long‑term viability.
Final site selection has not yet been announced, and Founders understand that precise location is part of the development process.
Once the site is finalized, all Founders will be notified promptly.
-
Each Founders tier includes a defined number of complimentary nights spread over a fixed term (3–5 years depending on tier).
Key details:
Nights must be booked in advance and are subject to availability
Complimentary nights have no cash value
Unused nights do not roll over beyond the defined term
Complimentary stays may only be redeemed at Selah
Founders also receive booking priority windows before reservations open to the public.
-
Selah may reserve limited blackout dates during peak periods, special events, or private buyouts. These dates will be clearly communicated in advance.
Founders’ early booking access significantly reduces conflict during popular windows.
-
Lifetime discounts apply for as long as Selah is operating under the same ownership and concept.
Discounts apply to:
additional stays beyond complimentary nights
Selah merchandise
select on‑property amenities
Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated.
-
Transferability varies by Founders tier:
Trailblazer: non‑transferable
Pioneer: 1 transferable guest stay per year
Legacy: 2 transferable guest stays per year
Transfer details are outlined clearly in the Founders Membership Agreement.
-
Founders Memberships are non‑refundable once Selah is bank funded, except as required by law or under specific conditions outlined in the Agreement.
Because benefits are prepaid and capacity‑based, memberships are not designed for resale or liquidation.
-
Each individual’s tax situation is unique.
Founders should consult their own tax advisor regarding:
advance payments
future stay benefits
or applicable sales or lodging taxes at time of use
Selah does not provide tax advice.
-
Founders memberships are strictly limited and will close once allocations are filled.
Selah is intentionally small — and the Founders group reflects that philosophy.
-
All Founders receive:
a private Founders newsletter
milestone updates
major construction and financing announcements
and opening timelines as they become available
Communication will be transparent, measured, and consistent.
-
The Founders Membership may not be a fit if you are seeking:
a financial investment or return
short‑term liquidity
speculative upside
or guaranteed timelines
This program is designed for those who value careful building, honest communication, and long‑term connection to the place.
-
Founders are invited through a private, limited enrollment process.
